Finding an au pair for the first time can seem like a daunting experience.
You’ll find everything you need to start the process on our website, from finding out what an au pair is, to the benefits and costs involved.
We understand how important it is that you feel safe and secure in the knowledge that the person you are bringing into your home to live with you and care for your children is dependable and trustworthy.
Having a reputable au pair agency to provide you and your au pair with support and advice is crucial. Not only during the selection process, but throughout the time your au pair stays with you.
All our au pairs are provided to us through our carefully chosen network of reliable partner au pair agencies. We regularly speak to and visit our partners overseas to ensure that we are maintaining a high quality, reliable service aligned with our own values and ethics.
Our partner agencies provide us with a great deal of background information for each au pair, so that when we speak to a host family we can provide them with all the information they need to find the right personality fit for them.
Unlike many other au pair agencies, which will operate their search and selection process via a computer-generated system, we take the time to carefully handpick each au pair profile we send to you to ensure you are only put in touch with the most suitable candidates.
We will work with you throughout the process to make it as easy and stress-free as possible, guiding you every step of the way.
Once you have reviewed the au pair profiles we have sent to you, we can arrange for you to Skype call your favourite candidates so that you and your potential au pair can share information and discuss together whether you’d like to proceed with a placement. We will provide advice on the right questions to ask your candidates and, once you have decided upon the au pair for you, we will prepare all the necessary paperwork.
All information provided to us by our host families and au pairs is treated as confidential.
How does the Square AuPair process work?
If you want to find an au pair to join your family, please follow our step-by-step guide below:
- Apply to host an au pair by completing our registration form. Registration is free for families wanting to find an au pair. Please answer the questions as fully as possible. The more information you provide, the better understanding we will have of your specific requirements.
- Once we have received your completed form, we will arrange a telephone call at a time convenient to you so we can make sure we have all the necessary information in order to find the right support for you.
- Based on your preferences, we will review our screened au pair profiles and carefully select the candidates we feel are best suited to your requirements.
- Once you have decided on the au pairs that look right for you, we will arrange for you to Skype call your preferred candidates.
- After you have chosen the au pair you want to welcome into your family, we will arrange all the necessary paperwork.
- Sit back, relax and wait for your au pair to arrive! We will support you with our Host Family Guide and your new au pair will receive our Au Pair Guide as well as bespoke information on local recommended English schools in your area. We will also introduce them to our network of other au pairs nearby to help them make new friends and settle in quickly.
